She has strong C-Suite expertise across all industries. Ms. Vartanian has held corporate management positions at Time Inc., Meredith Corporation, Hearst Corporation and Conde Nast. She has led development for Fortune Conferences, the Conference on World Affairs, HighTower Financial APEX Summit, The Hamptons International Film Festival, TIGER 21 Annual Conference, Latin Trade Group, Gotham Awards, Cannes Film Festival, New York Film Festival, and more.
For Latin Trade Hilary split her time between New York and Beijing to produce the Sino Americas Forum—an “Economic Forum for the Americas” for CEOS and political leaders from Latin America, the Caribbean and China to explore trade opportunities in Infrastructure, Energy and Agribusiness. The Forum was supported by the Inter-American Development Bank, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Government of the Bahamas, Baja Mar Resort, and CCTV. She honed her skills as VP of Business Development for Fortune magazine where she led sponsorship for the Fortune Global Forum, Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit, Brainstorm Tech, and other by-invitation-only Fortune 500 CEO events. In philanthropy, Hilary led corporate development for two iconic film organizations--The Film Society of Lincoln Center and the Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP)/Made in New York Media Center. Her Cannes Film Festival/Calvin Klein "Spotlight on Women Filmmakers" multi-year event was featured in the 2013 HBO documentary "Seduced and Abandoned” narrated by Alec Baldwin.
Hilary is a sought after production executive in film and television including the Qingdao Films Festival owned by the Dalian Wanda Group and has secured resources for Una Noche, Concussion, Hide Your Smiling Faces, A+ (Starring Emily Mortimer and Finn Wittrock), and a reality television series currently in development for the Chinese market.
Ms. Vartanian is the co-author of Peace Prayers (published by Harper-Collins) proceeds of which benefit UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, and the Children’s Defense Fund. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder and is active with the Camp Dudley and Packer Collegiate Institute Parents Associations. Ms. Vartanian has lived and worked on 5 continents and —when not on a plane— you will find her at SoulCycle with her pack or cheering on the New York Rangers with her son Alex and husband Andy Borinstein, Executive Director of Consumer Research at Time Inc. and founder of Disc NY— a 5013C that teaches teens Ultimate Frisbee and hosts city, regional, and national leagues for at-risk youth.
